QUEST: July 15

Tipi

Today I resumed my Quest walk by strolling a mere 5.8 miles (the shortest walk of the journey) to a hot-springs type of spa resort.

The accommodation here that came closest to meeting my budget was a tipi.  It’s not climate controlled, and I had to bring my own “bedding” (which is a travel pillow and a lightweight sleep sack).

So this is the first in a string of nights when I’ll be sleeping without air conditioning.  You can read my post from June 28 to see the dismal result I had when I tried to practice for this.

I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to sleep just fine, though, tonight and the next few nights.

As Forrest Gump famously said when it was time to end his long coast-to-coast running spree, “I’m pretty tired.”

Thanks for following my Quest.  If you’d like to respond, please post a comment here, or  send an email to michael@michaelhume.net.  Either way, I look forward to reading your views when I return to my screen in late August.
