QUEST: July 23

Beauty

I’m entering one of the most beautiful parts of the Quest walk, through the forested mountains.  I walked 12.5 miles today to an RV campground where Kathryn parked Quester, with the sweet fragrance of pine in my nostrils all day long.

The Navajos have an expression – a prayer, really, I think – that wishes you the opportunity to “walk with beauty all around.”  I was grateful for that opportunity today!

Also noteworthy is that today’s walk got me almost exactly two-thirds of the way to the monastery.  Still pickin’ ‘em up and puttin’ ‘em down!

Thanks for following my Quest.  If you’d like to respond, please post a comment here, or  send an email to michael@michaelhume.net.  Either way, I look forward to reading your views when I return to my screen in late August.
