QUEST: July 25

Summit

After a challenging 11-mile walk up the hill, I arrived today at a turnout near the top of a mountain pass, where Quester was a sight for sore eyes.

I lived in the mountains when I was a teenager, and I spent every night at about the same altitude I’m enjoying tonight.  It was wonderful living “up here.”

But that was about a half-century ago, and my lungs are mentioning that it’s still wonderful, but it would be nice if there were a bit more air in the air.

So far, so good.  But I do have a little extra “portable oxygen” supply here in the Quester, and my asthma inhaler if things get worse.

Thanks to YOU for following my Quest.  If you’d like to respond, please post a comment here, or  send an email to michael@michaelhume.net.  Either way, I look forward to reading your views when I return to my screen in late August.
